JPEG uses a white background for transparent areas. Lower quality usually means a smaller file; check fine text carefully. Downloads include One Useful Site and https://oneusefulsite.com/ in their metadata. Original camera and location metadata is not copied.

Useful things to know

Does this change or upload my original image?

No. Editing and downloads happen in this browser. The original file is untouched. Closing or reloading the page discards your edits, so download first.

Why are very large images reduced?

Image editing uses much more memory than the compressed file size. We accept files up to 32 MB and create a working copy of at most 12 megapixels and 4,096 pixels per side. Any reduction is shown beneath the preview. Undo stores up to eight recent edits within a 64 MB history budget.

Can I edit several areas?

Yes. Apply an area effect, draw another rectangle and apply it again. Each edit becomes part of the working image. The selection outline is only a guide and is not included in your download.

Can a solid cover be removed from the downloaded file?

The download is a flattened image with the covered pixels replaced, not a movable shape or layer. Cover the entire sensitive area with a generous margin and inspect the result before sharing. Blur and pixelation are visual effects, not reliable redaction.

Why does a photo look slightly different?

Your browser decodes the image and draws a new copy. Colour profiles, HDR information and original camera metadata are not preserved. Export a copy and compare it with the original when colour fidelity matters.

Processed privately in your browser — your entries are not uploaded.

Good to know

How this tool works

Open a JPEG, PNG or WebP image, choose an editing tool and apply each change. Use Undo to go back or Reset image to restore the original working copy. Download saves the applied edits as a JPEG or PNG. The image stays on your device; any size reduction is explained above the editor controls.

What is Image Resizer & Editor useful for?
